Responsibilities:

·Takes a lead role in actively managing the rate review process.
·Makes presentations and specific recommendations on rate level changes, pricing structures, and product enhancements.
·Coordinates the implementation of decisions made in the rate review process. This may include system specifications, state filings support, statistical reporting, and product administration.
·Will be assigned one or more lines of business in which they will become the in house expert.
·Provides actuarial expertise in cross-functional projects, such as a major systems replacement project.
·Duties will include (but not limited to) providing systems specifications, expert advise, and testing.
·Pursues an active study schedule, with the goal of passing exams and becoming a designated actuary. This is a major responsibility of the Actuarial Analyst/Senior Actuarial Analyst.
·Participates in product development and enhancement.
·Utilizes and updates the departments Best Practices Procedures.
·Performs basic & advanced research as requested.
·Develops reports for making informed decisions regarding specific business questions or products.
·Produces ad hoc reports and analyses. Works with Actuarial Trainees and Technicians to develop work product.
·Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications:
·Bachelors degree or equivalent in Actuarial Science or related field. 2 - 4 years.
·Spreadsheet and database knowledge required (Excel, Access, etc).
·Organizational, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
·Exceptional study skills, Minimum of 3 exams completed and active pursuit of FCAS designation.
·Superior presentation skills.
·Experience and background knowledge of Insurance industry, preferably in ratemaking.
