RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Account Analysis and Support:
•Analytical support, primarily, for the Japanese clients of a England-based broking team; however, will include work from time to time for clients of other areas
•Provide actuarial analysis to develop loss model for client business, estimate reinsurance pricing, and determine effect of reinsurance on clients business
•Assist brokers in designing program structures that meet client needs
•Explain analyses in clear terms appropriate to the audience
•Provide value-added service to clients as needed
- Work closely with other analytical associates across the organization:
•Including other actuaries, actuarial trainees and catastrophe modellers
•Peer review work as appropriate to ensure quality control
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in mathematics or related technical field
- 3+ years’ in non-life actuarial role(s); ideally including experience in pricing and/or reinsurance
- Japanese or Mandarin language skills would be preferred
- Able to apply advanced mathematical / actuarial concepts and techniques
- Skilled in using Microsoft Excel and other software
