| RESPOSIBILITIES
•Communicate and work with executive management, pricing, actuarial, financial, claims, and information technology personnel within the Company, as well as those of its affiliates, parent, business partners, auditors, and regulators. •Perform a broad range of actuarial support and services. •Work with the analytics team on the development, maintenance, and improvement of systems and procedures to support actuarial analyses of rates and losses. •Work with analytics and the regions to provide recommendations regarding adequacy of rates and reserves. •Serve as the Company's Appointed Actuary for financial reporting, preparing and signing Statements of Actuarial Opinion. •This position will have or share responsibility for: Development and preparation of quarterly reserve reports, including ultimate loss projections and evaluation of reserve adequacy. •Support for Corporate Analytics and Region P&L functions and initiatives, including rate analyses, trend reports, and premium revenue forecasts, as well as actuarial assistance with statutory rate filing requirements and implementation of rating methodologies. •Assistance with statutory financial filing requirements, including actuarial support for Schedule P, Risk Based Capital calculations, and Statements of Actuarial Opinion. •Documentation of actuarial procedures and maintenance of work papers. •Development and maintenance of controls to ensure data integrity. Actuarial support for various operational initiatives of the Company and its parent and affiliates as needed, including Return on Equity modeling, catastrophe analysis and risk load methodology, and Enterprise Risk Management. Assistance with ad hoc analyses and projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
•Associate or Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society. 5 years of Personal Lines actuarial experience. •Advanced decision making, problem solving, and analytical skills. •Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. •Advanced proficiency with MS Office applications, including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. •Well organized and able to work under time constraints alone or as a member of a team.
