Responsibilities:

·Working with a team of experts from both actuarial and management consulting backgrounds on client engagements to solve client problems
·Serving as the project manager on client engagements including: coordinating internal resources; advising project team on potential solutions and strategies to meet project goals and client needs; making connections with the client organization; managing projects to budget; and providing developmental guidance to junior level staff
·Developing new business including: creating opportunities to discuss new business opportunities both through individual selling efforts and providing support to team sales efforts; using client relationships to identify client needs (explicit/implicit) for new/additional sales; broadening potential client's understanding of firm's capabilities; and formulating proposals demonstrating how the firm will address problems/issues identified
·Providing financial analyses evaluating new business ventures, mergers or acquisitions
·Managing clients' risk using dynamic financial analysis tools
·Analyzing pricing and profitability of P/C Products
·Making a valued contribution to the intellectual capital development of the firm

Qualifications

·Successful completion FCAS designation. An ACAS moving towards FCAS (1-2 exams remaining) would also be considered
·5+ years work experience in a property/casualty insurance company or consulting firm
·Expertise in at least one core service area (estimating reserves for claims liabilities; providing financial analyses for restructuring initiatives (e.g. mergers and acquisitions); managing client risks using dynamic financial analysis tools; analyzing pricing and profitability of P/C products)
·Solid understanding of how the P/C insurance industry operates (including product knowledge, regulatory requirements, accounting systems, etc.)
·Proven experience building and maintaining client relationships (internal or external)
·Project management experience
·Excellent oral and written communication skills
·Ability to think "outside the box" and encourage new ideas and solutions
·Ability to travel if required
