Responsibilities:
·Perform actuarial tasks of a mathematical nature.
·Compile and analyze data.
·Document and verify the factors used in computations.
·May perform valuation, inforce management, or investment related tasks depending on the area.
·May assist in the determination of premiums, benefits, and pricing levels for product development and pricing related tasks depending on the area.
·Gain knowledge about company operations, systems, and actuarial methodologies.
·Pass actuarial exams with the goal of attaining the Fellowship of the Society of Actuaries designation.
Qualifications
·Technical - Acquire and maintain an in-depth knowledge in your field or area of focus. Use expertise and specialized knowledge to study issues and draw conclusions.
·Technology - Strong computer skills.
·Accuracy - Complete work thoroughly and accurately.
·Analysis - Analytical ability and perspective.
·Efficiency - Organized, efficient, and urgent.
·Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics, actuarial science, business or science.
·Some prior business experience is preferred (actuarial internship, for example).
·(Strongly Preferred) At least one Society of Actuaries exam passed.
