RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reporting to the President & Chief Operations Officer, the incumbent will utilize actuarial techniques to provide pricing and credit/collateral support to local management, home office, and regulatory authorities. - The position will additionally support operational planning and forecasting. - Develop general loss cost pricing models and associated differentials for product lines. - Provide loss and collateral/credit analysis on retention and captive business; play a participatory role in this process with client and broker. - Provide individual account pricing support to senior management and product management as needed. - Maintain and enhance monthly price monitor reporting. - Develop and maintain pricing information database(s). - Develop expense and capital allocation models and processes. - Assist in providing annual analysis of capital adequacy to senior management and home office for consideration in capital position decisions. - Provide reinsurance submission data and support monthly determination of subject premium as needed. - Provide planning and forecasting support to senior management, product management, and home office. - Provide input into database development and management as needed to ensure data availability to support actuarial requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate of Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) or recent Fellow of CAS. - Minimum five years appropriate pricing experience in the commercial property and casualty insurance industry. - Technically strong in actuarial pricing methods, including stochastic pricing methods. - Extensive knowledge of EXCEL, ACCESS, Word; working knowledge of @Risk. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
