RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical support to the actuarial management group. - Provide audit support functions and advisory projects. - Recalculate actuarial values. - Develop, perform, and review of Organization and client workpapers, analyticals. - Support Life Insurance companies. - Maintain documentation files consistent with Organization workpaper requirements. - Assist with project planning, development of deliverables and other technical writing exercises. - Develop and project of actuarial models using actuarial software. - Programming/manipulation of database applications used in support of experience studies and other data management functions. - Strong academic background in actuarial science, applied statistics, financial analysis, insurance, and mathematics.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- One year of experience working with an actuarial software package. - Strong academic background in actuarial science, applied statistics, financial analysis, insurance and mathematics. - One year of applicable recent work experience in a professional services environment. - One year of experience with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Statutory Financial Reporting. - BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university. - Ability to work on multiple projects. - Ability to prioritize work without extensive direction from supervisors. - Strong working knowledge of spreadsheet software and database software such as MS Excel and Access. - Strong technical writing skills and verbal communication skills. - Passed two Actuarial Exams. - Willing to travel at least 25 percent of the time.
