RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Under the guidance of Health Benefits Analysts (HBA's) or Senior HBA's, the Associate Health Benefits Analyst analyzes technical data with regard to benefit plans in both traditional indemnity and managed care environments.
- Benefit plans may include: life insurance, disability income insurance, medical, dental and vision coverage.
- As part of an analytical team, the Associate analyst will prepare budget projections and renewal analyses, do benefit plan pricing, prepare bid specifications, analyze the resulting proposals, and prepare quarterly and annual financial reports.
- Specifically, an Associate Health Benefits Analyst performs these duties at a beginner's level of proficiency, does technical work, and may interface directly with internal clients.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Candidates for the position of Associate Health Benefits Analyst must have an undergraduate degree in economics or business, or other related field, and well-developed analytical skills.
- Strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills (verbal and written), and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially spreadsheets, are required.
