RESPONSIBITIES

- Significant data manipulation and complex calculations using macros and other programs.
- Significant analysis required on most projects.
- May supervise Assistant Actuarial Technician I or II, or Actuarial Technician I or II.
- Have sign-off responsibility for many small projects and some larger ones.
- Works independently with minimal supervision.
- Reviews methods and results of slightly complex projection models.
- Verifies and reconciles financial reporting data, prepares periodic reports for other departments with minimal supervision.
- Also handles "non-periodic" reporting requests and oversees programming solutions. May supervise some reporting projects.
- Understands and manipulates moderately complex actuarial concepts and formulas.
- Handles pricing projects independently and may oversee some small projects. to the employee.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics or relevant area or 4 - 8 years relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of topics covered in SOA course 3 (including Life Contingencies).
- Completion of exam preferred but not required.
