RESPONSIBILITIES: - Participation in the company’s Investment Review Committee, which is the approving body for all middle market leveraged loans placed in the company’s portfolio - Oversight of all the company’s arranged collateralized loan obligations (CLOs) and related warehousing facilities, both internally and with third party investment managers - Due diligence and evaluation of third party investment managers (including underwriting and servicing), as part of an assessment of the company arranged CLOs, any related warehousing programs, and TRS trades - Guiding the production and regular review of ongoing portfolio surveillance data related to the company, mitigation or workout of failed securitizations or transactions experiencing credit deterioration - Communication with senior business and risk management personnel, including participating in the development and implementation of critical reporting and credit systems capabilities - In coordination with the respective business units and senior risk management, establishing and maintaining various credit policy frameworks, including underwriting and portfolio guidelines
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Comfortable working on transactions in a capital markets/trading environment with minimal direction. - 7 to 10 years of exp in credit risk management, structuring and/or origination roles covering middle market commercial and large corporate credit products. - Background in origination, structuring, trading, asset management or credit risk management of securitized products - Exposure to the implementation of risk mitigation strategies on problem loans or portfolios - Strong organizational, oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of risk, support and business partners - Competency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required, along with an ability to quickly learn new programs and applications - Candidate should exhibit strong personal drive, an ability to demonstrate individual initiative, a sense of urgency, responsiveness, and a desire to grow, learn and take on increasing levels of responsibility - Formal bank credit training - MBA, CFA or equivalent education desired
