RESPONSIBILITIES: - As a member of the Actuarial Development Program (ADP), one will get a broad exposure to the various operating areas within the company through a series of one-year job assignments. I - In addition, with support from the ADP, one is expected to complete (within a given timeframe) the actuarial exams leading to Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries. - A member of the ADP can expect to apply his/her mathematical skills to solving business problems in the insurance industry. - Depending on the particular rotation, the member can assist in a range of assignments such as: developing new life or annuity products, projecting results for the company's financial plan, pricing reinsurance deals, and analyzing and improving the profitability of the in force.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong math and communication skills. - Flexibility to adapt to new situations. - Ability to think creatively, to express thoughts clearly, and to work effectively with others. - High academic standing with coursework in math, probability and statistics, computer science and economics. - Strong preference given to candidates who passed at least one actuarial exam.
