RESPONSIBILITIES:

- As an Actuarial Assistant you will assist actuarial personnel in the modeling and analysis of Embedded Value, Economic Capital Cash Flow Testing, DAC Recoverability, 20F and ad-hoc projects. - Responsibilities include the following:
- Support Model system maintenance by coding new products and validating coding through recalculations.
- Contribute to processes by gaining knowledge of various reporting standards
- Assemble data and create reports for auditors, internal and external customers, and to demonstrate compliance with Sarbanes Oxley.
- Understand, validate and review financial data for completeness and reasonableness.
- Maintain and improve databases and mainframe applications supporting the various functions.
- Develop understanding of, and establish relationships in the Actuarial Department.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned by manager.
- Maintain good standing in the Actuarial Student Program by taking and passing exams administered by the Society of Actuaries.
- Maintains compliance with all standards, controls, policies and practices as an active participant in the Company’s Information Privacy and Security Program.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor degree (Math, Actuarial Science or related field).
- Up to one year of relevant work experience.
- Passed 1 SOA exam.
- Familiarity with insurance practices and principles.
- Good communications skills, both oral and written.
- Able to produce accurate results.
- Ability to work independently.
- Programming languages, or ability to develop skills with computer applications including desktop, actuarial and financial software.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S
