In addition, this department works closely with Product Pricing, Market Risk Management, and IT to ensure appropriate models design, development, validation, and maintenance. &lt;br&gt;- Play a key role in developing and implementing a sophisticated financial model platform to effectively measure complex Business Unit exposures for valuations and projections by combining Actuarial, Financial, and Capital Market concepts.&lt;br&gt;- Play a key role in developing, maintaining, testing, validating, and documenting sophisticated financial models to support various projects.&lt;br&gt;- Assist in managing small to medium sized projects in a dynamic business environment that will involve shifting priorities; collaborating with other departments and business units, and creatively leveraging resources to meet aggressive deadlines. &lt;br&gt;- Direct the preparation and interpretation of data and related formulas.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;QUALIFICATIONS:&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;- 3+ years of modeling with Prophet, MoSes or similar software. &lt;br&gt;- Associate Society of Actuaries (ASA).&lt;br&gt;- Background modeling for economic capital, embedded value, market consistent embedded value, ALM, DAC, and reserving is desired.&lt;br&gt;- A mix of IT and actuarial background is required, along with experience of implementing new actuarial software such as Prophet or MoSes.&lt;br&gt;- Working knowledge of stochastic modeling and computational technology in large scale, distributed processing, and database oriented environment.&lt;br&gt;- Knowledge of annuity products, including reserves, economic capital, pricing metrics, and financials.&lt;br&gt;- Strong written and oral communication skills, including a proven ability to effectively describe complex models and considerations to a less technical audience. &lt;br&gt;- Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment, and lead small to medium sized projects.&lt;br&gt;- Excellent computer skills are required for consideration (especially C++, SQL, Excel, Oracle, FoxPro, Visual Basic, APL, Matlab).&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Online Application available at &lt;a href='http://www.jobs4actuary.com'&gt;www.jobs4actuary.com&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;For further information, email &lt;a href='mailto:info@nasearchg.com'&gt;info@nasearchg.com&lt;/a&gt; and mention Position #19251, or contact any of our recruiters at (905)-477-2962. </description><pubDate>Thu, 18 Mar 2010 13:21:02 GMT</pubDate><dc:creator>Admin</dc:creator></item></channel></rss>
