Responsibilities:

·lead client service teams for mid-sized clients, guiding client project managers
·responsible for overall consulting and servicing a number of mid-sized clients
·assist senior actuary/consultant assuming overall project management role for a number of large clients
·managing and expanding client relationships within retirement consulting services
·contribute to new business development and participate on sales teams
·understanding company services and ability to work on cross practice teams
·provide professional guidance to actuarial associates
·act as mentor to others on professional and business issues
·maintain and improve standards of quality for clients' retirement consulting services
·ensure that the Quality Work Guidelines and Peer Review Policy are being followed by all associates working on client projects
·provide technically sound problem-solving advice in the area of retirement consulting services
·keep up-to-date on client, business and industry issues

Qualifications

·strong commitment to company values and strategy
·at least 10 years of pension industry experience
·FCIA/FSA
·strong consulting and client relationship management skills
·ability to provide actuarial consulting services to senior management
·strong orientation towards new business development
·ability to maintain existing and build new consulting relationships
·knowledge of regulatory, professional and CICA, FASB and/or IAS requirements
·plan design and project management experience
·strong written and oral communication skills
·strong analytical and problem solving skills
·ability to think creatively and be innovative
·ability to direct and supervise work of students
·ability to interact effectively with both internal and external contacts
·ability to work in a team environment under tight deadline strong computer programming and technical skills, including pension valuation system knowledge
