A Health Care & Group Benefits Actuarial Analyst helps in the plan design, financing, valuation of, pricing, and administration of medical, dental, life and disability programs for employees and retirees.
Responsibilities: ·Collect, analyze and interpret benefit plan experience data ·Analyze experience, estimate future plan costs and calculate plan prices ·Assist in the development of customized pricing and valuation models ·Develop awareness of benefit plan designs, cost factors and renewal processes ·Develop employee contribution strategies to meet employer cost objectives; calculate COBRA rates ·Value employer benefit liabilities (including FAS 106 and FAS 112 liabilities) under various plan design scenarios using established procedures. Qualifications ·BA/BS degree in actuarial science, math, statistics, economics, finance or business ·Superior analytical and mathematical skills; strong command of Excel or similar program ·Excellent interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communication skills ·Commitment to achieving FSA designation ·Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment ·Ability to work independently and on a team.
