| Position: Actuarial Assistant - Modeling

Responsibilities:
·This position reports to the Modeling Actuary.
·The nature of this position will require working cooperatively with the actuaries in charge of both the life and annuity lines, as well as appropriate members of the Marketing and Finance departments.
·Maintain actuarial models for various needs (Embedded Value, Cash Flow Testing, Forecasting / Business Planning, Economic Capital, etc.)
·Run models and analyze results.
·Communicate results.
Qualifications
·Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related technical field.
·Successful completion of 2+ actuarial exams and interest in continued pursuit preferred. Career ASA also a possibility.
·Two + years pricing, financial reporting or valuation experience in the insurance industry preferred.
·Solid mathematical and analytical skills required.
·Knowledge of the MoSes modeling software is required.
·Proficiency with database management, spreadsheet applications, and word processing software required.
·Knowledge of Visual Basic would be a plus.
·Highly articulate, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
·Extremely attentive to detail and highly conscientious about deadlines and duties.
·Strong team player.
