Responsibilities:

·Provide data analysis support and interpretation of findings
·Develop illustrative premium rates
·Calculate cost-impact of plan changes
·Perform special analytical projects as assigned
·Manipulation and summarization of Excel spreadsheet data files
·Research group and health care issues
·Review and analyze health and welfare vendor renewals
·Develop bid specifications and analyze vendor bid responses for health care or other group benefit programs (i.e., life, disability, etc.)
·Draft client letters and sections of reports in support of benefit audits, bidding result summaries, etc.
·Build knowledge of health and welfare vendors and legislative and regulatory environment and keep knowledge current as market changes
·Participate as a cooperative, proactive team member in projects involving other associates through the practice, local office and region
·Meet billable hour targets and total work expectations

Qualifications

·Bachelor's degree in business, actuarial science, math, statistics, accounting or finance, preferred
·Completion of 2-3 actuarial exams with intent to continue is a plus
·Ability to solve problems on a timely basis
·Strong initiative and follow-through in completing assignments
·Creative and innovative problem-solving skills
·Familiarity with health and welfare discipline
·Strong analytical skills
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·Ability to prioritize, be well-organized and detail-oriented
·Willingness to “own” tasks (i.e., do whatever is necessary to complete task)
·Ability to work in fast-paced environment
·Ability to be flexible
·Team player
