Responsibilities:
·Assist in property/casualty actuarial projects for primary insurance companies, reinsurance companies, large self-insured organizations and governmental entities
·Use a variety of actuarial methodologies utilizing Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and other computer programs
·Provide assistance on process review work such as review of actuarial internal controls
·Maintenance of documentation files consistent with firm guidelines
Qualifications
·Pre-Associate of Casualty Actuarial Society with at least one exam under the new syllabus
·A commitment to achieving Fellowship in the Casualty Actuarial Society
·Strong academic background in actuarial science, applied statistics, financial analysis, insurance and/or mathematics. Bachelor's degree or Master's degree from an accredited college/university in a related field is a plus
·Ability to work on multiple projects with multiple supervisors
·Must be comfortable and personable in dealing directly with clients
·Reasonable understanding of Property and Casualty business
·Ability to work with spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel) is required and database software (Microsoft Access) is preferable
·Strong written and verbal communication skills are required
