Responsibilities:
·Performing actuarial pension valuations and postretirement welfare valuations
·Preparing and analyzing our clients' pension data
·Updating our actuarial software programming to reflect the current year's actuarial assumptions and plan provisions
·Creating pension forecast presentations using MS-PowerPoint and MS-Excel
·Assisting clients with Government filings, pension benefit calculations, and employee benefit statements
·Communicating with clients
·Assisting consultants with an array of special projects such as new plan design, merger and acquisition work, and sensitivity analysis
Qualifications
·GPA: 3.25 or above (preferred)
·Exams: Passed at least one Society of Actuaries exam (preferred not required)
·Coursework: Actuarial Science, Math, or Statistics
·Computer skills: knowledge of MS-Word and MS-Excel (or other word processing and spreadsheet programs)
·Strong communication and analytical skills
·Desire to pursue a career in actuarial consulting
