Responsibilities:
This position will price annuities and develop annuity proposals for company Retirement and Savings (R&S). The position will also work with other groups in R&S to provide support for pricing and product issues. In addition this position will support new annuity product development by testing and implementing new pricing processes. The annuity products priced and supported by the group include group closeout and terminal funding opportunities as well as new, innovative fixed and variable deferred and immediate annuities sold to institutions to make available to their employees or members.
·Price group annuity products including closeouts and terminal funding annuities. ·This includes reviewing plan specifications and summaries ·Analyzing the annuity census data ·Developing the assumptions to be used in the pricing ·Using and modifying pricing applications to price the annuities ·Reviewing proposal letters. ·Develop and modify spreadsheet applications supporting annuity pricing. ·Work with R&S teams including Sales and Marketing to communicate and develop annuity proposals for prospects. ·Work with other R&S teams to support the development and implementation of new annuity products. ·Provide support to Distribution and Administration on pricing issues.
Qualifications:
·A bachelors degree in mathematics, statistics, or other quantitative discipline ·Strong analytical and spreadsheet skills ·Excellent written and oral communication skills ·Ability to read and understand pension plan specifications ·Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities ·Can work well in teams and independently to lead a project ·Annuity or actuarial background a plus
