RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assessing the financial impact of strategic initiatives including:
- Developing efficient and flexible financial projection models; determining modeling parameters and approaches to be used; identifying critical variables, risks and result sensitivities; informing management of results and making recommendations; and implementing new initiatives.
- Supporting Line of Business client requests for the development and pricing of unique reinsurance structures First and foremost, the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to learn quickly, synthesize and implement solutions, as well as show a constant need for achievement and a drive to make a difference.
- The incumbent will also exhibit a strong sense of responsibility, commitment and excellent work ethic, Supporting internal and head office management and corporate requests relating to statutory and economic risk capital, tax and embedded value projects.
- Sharing intelligence and expertise with internal clients.
QUALIFICATIONS:

- Two to four years of experience in the Canadian Life and Health insurance industry; reporting and financial analysis knowledge and experience being an asset.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Superior attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated flexibility and effectiveness working under tight timelines with multiple priorities.
- Adept at using Excel, Word, Axis and Access.
