RESPONSIBITIES:
-Receive, load, process and edit data received from clients. -Validate, reconcile and document data. -Use software tools and programming skills to analyze and edit data, reconcile data changes, identify inconsistencies, and produce reports. -Calculate benefits due to participants/members based on plan documents. -Update and edit spreadsheets in Excel for benefit calculations. -Produce benefit statements. -Update databases such as Access, for storing data and benefit calculations. -Update basic ProVal coding and run liabilities (e.g. inactive valuation runs) -Update and edit spreadsheets in Excel and/or ProVal for analysis and valuations. -Assist in preparation of valuation reports. -Assist in the preparation of government filings. - Provide assistance to other Retirement and Financial Management (RFM) associates on various special projects and client requests. -Communicate with actuarial client teams to understand desired results. -Learn to use Lotus Notes-based client databases.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Undergraduate degree. -Experience using computer systems and programs. -Basic database knowledge. -Basic spreadsheet knowledge (Excel preferred) -Data programming and maintenance on ADP/ADMS systems -Assist with valuations on ProVal system -Run benefit calculations using DBCalc -Excel actuarial add-in functions Awareness of the 401(a) (17) pay cap -Use of actuarial factors to quantify subsidized early retirement -Excel Hot Zone coding and production -Actuarial Standard of Practice No. 23 (ASOP) - Data Quality
