RESPONSIBITIES
- Participate in the actuarial analysis of the company pricing posture for each state and develops rate level indications.
-Participate in the actuarial analysis and development of premium, loss and loss expense reserves.
-Assist in the preparation of actuarial support for rate filings.
-Assist in the preparation of special reports and studies.
-Provide technical assistance and information to other departments.
-Assist in the creation and maintenance of computer software and data.
-Pursue actuarial exams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Math and analytical skills; normally acquired through a BS in math, statistics or related field.
-Knowledge of insurance principles and basic rate-making procedures desired.
-Effective oral and written communication skills.
-PC and programming skills desirable in facilitating report productions.
-Completion of first CAS exam desired.
