RESPONSIBILITIES
- Gather and prepare inputs for the DAC process
- Supervise calculation of DAC Amortization
- Analyze and communicate results to management
- Coordinate with Model Steward, Hedging, Reinsurance, Valuation, and Reporting areas
- Maintain and enhance DAC process
- Ensure controls are followed and prepare Sarbanes-Oxley documentation
- Respond to requests for information and sensitivity tests
- Assist with auditor review
- Gain expertise in GAAP/IFRS reporting
- Maintain and enhance ALFA projection models (new products, features, etc.)
- Support Liability Projections team on work for Embedded Value, New Business Value,
- Economic Capital, Strategic Plan, and Cash Flow Testing
- Assist with experience studies and assumption setting
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Near or new FSA with 4 plus years of actuarial experience
- Either liability expertise or asset-liability modeling experience
- Exposure to ALFA or other leading projections systems is helpful
- Desire to learn and take on responsibility
- Capacity to supervise actuarial students and work within groups
- Ability to handle deadline oriented work; highly motivated; strong verbal and written communications skills
