RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assist the senior actuaries in the creation and maintenance of models used for the pricing of life and annuity products. This includes, but is not limited to: developing new and updating existing pricing models, setting pricing assumptions, performing profit runs, populating results templates, balancing and checking the accuracy of reports, examining the sensitivity of profit measures to various assumptions, and performing stochastic analysis
- Interact with other areas as needed in order to modify models to properly develop financial measurements according to actual practice.
- Develop an understanding of the company's operations and the impact that product development has upon them.
- Establish relationships with, proactively communicating with, and providing service to various organizations within the company.
- Interact with and providing actuarial support to the implementation and systems areas as needed.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned by the manager.
- Maintain good standing in the Actuarial Student Program by taking and passing exams administered by the Society of Actuaries.
- Model development is currently performed using the Prophet platform.



QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or other quantitative field from an accredited college or university or related equivalent work experience.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Ability to work in and contribute to a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills using the English language
- Minimum of 1 actuarial exam from the Society of Actuaries with the intent to be credentialed.
- Excellent PC skills, to include Excel, Word and Access. Ability to perform financial calculations in Excel is highly preferred.
- Experience with Prophet pricing systems is a plus.
