RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist actuarial consultants in measuring pension and medical liabilities and annual costs, studying the effects of changes in the design of employee benefit plans, and communicating results.
- Utilize standard and company-developed software to measure liabilities and costs, program changes, process and organize data, analyze numerical results for reasonableness, and develop graphical presentations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS in Math, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics or related field
- 0-2 years relevant experience
- Successful completion of one or more actuarial exams
- Strong communication skills
- Strong logical and analytical thinking skills
- Ability to quickly learn new software programs
- Attention to detail
- Enthusiastic; helpful attitude
- Efficient worker with good organization skills
- Ability and desire to work in a demanding atmosphere
- Experience and or proven skills in computer programming and data processing
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Access, and Visual Basic
- Experience with administration of employee benefits, especially retirement benefits
