RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs analysis of new product profitability and provides technical support for actuarial pricing and product development
- Analyzes/summarizes product specifications
- Assists in research of actuarial implications of unique state regulations
- Researches new requirements and creates documents/spreadsheets to track compliance
- Learns/implements actuarial mathematics to verify and modify model results
- Programs Excel and Visual Basic for actuarial analyses
- Automates actuarial procedures as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Requires a Bachelors Degree in Actuarial Science or Mathematical Sciences, or equivalent work experience
- Completion of one SOA exam credit for admission into actuarial student program and continued advancement through SOA exams to remain eligible for actuarial student program
- Advanced skills using MS Excel; excellent communication skills and the ability to express mathematical and actuarial concepts
- Strong analytical ability and time-management skills.
- Insurance product knowledge preferred.
- Knowledge of FoxPro and Visual Basic programming a plus.
