i heard that there's a new exam structure for the FIA. do i have to take the series exams along with the new exams? or is it just one or the other? any help would be appreciated. i have a feeling that everyone is studying for their exams right now.

Hi Tina,

You do not have to take both examinations. you will only be required to take the examinations in the new system. The new examination structure includes:

1. Core Applications
2. Core Technicals
3. Specialist Applications
4. Specialist Technicals

The following is a link to the FIA website that will answer any of your questions regarding the new examination structure: http://www.actuaries.org.uk/Display_Page.cgi?url=/students/education.html

Good luck! and yes... I believe that everyone is studying.
