Responsibilities:
·Perform annual valuations for a variety of clients which includes data management, analyzing data, determining plan liabilities, reconciling plan assets, and determining funding requirements.
·Determine FAS87, FAS88 and FAS106 plan expenses and disclosures.
·Complete plan reporting and filing requirements.
·Perform plan administrative tasks such as completing benefit calculations, reviewing plan documents and SPDs, and producing benefit statements.
·Complete special projects as needed.
Qualifications
·Must have 3+ years prior experience working as an actuarial analyst with pension plans, or other related business experience.
·Bachelors Degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or related field.
·Significant progress on SOA exams.
·Knowledge about pension laws, regulations and rulings.
·Good oral and written communications skills; ability to communicate effectively with clients and other associates.
·Knowledgeable about funding methods and asset valuation methods.
·Good team player; dedicated to adding value for external and internal customers.
·Proficiency in use of Excel, Word, and Fortran (Access is a plus).
