Responsibilities:
·Develops assumptions and analyzes results.
·Initiates and organizes actuarial projects.
·Conducts and analyzes experience studies, validates pricing assumptions and monitors the consistency of company practices and procedures with pricing assumptions for assigned lines of business.
·Reviews, evaluates and reports actuarial trends and rating considerations.
·May have supervisory responsibilities.
·Must participate in the Actuarial Program.
·The desired end result is described and the associate is to manage project and request help as needed.
·Responsible for researching problem/project and applying actuarial techniques to arrive at a recommended solution.
·Recommends changes to improve procedures and processes currently in place as well as develop new procedures to address new corporate directions and activities.
Qualifications
·BA/BS in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics or related field, along with ASA+1 and 2 years relevant actuarial experience or ASA and 5 years relevant actuarial experience required.
·Good verbal and written communication skills.
·Project management and analytical abilities.
·Proficient use of spreadsheet and/or database software.
