Responsibilities:
·Develops pricing for new specialty market products and state expansion.
·Develops business plans and pro-formas to evaluate new specialty markets opportunities.
·Works closely with specialty markets program underwriters, to develop and price coverage enhancements and pricing approaches in specialty markets.
·Performs research and analysis on specialty competitors and markets.
·Provides creative input and analysis in evaluating new product opportunities.
·Assists in evaluating catastrophe and non-catastrophe reinsurance requirements for specialty products.
·This position is responsible supporting specialty and core product development efforts by providing pricing, reinsurance, financial modeling and other analysis
·Supervises one Research Analyst
Requirements:
·Ratemaking, Modeling and Financial Analysis expertise (Exams 1 - 5) or equivalent experience
·5+ years actuarial experience in property / casualty, commercial lines
·Bachelor's or advanced degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or other related field
·Strong proficiency with computer applications with PC (Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, Power Point, COGNOS) or other client-based data retrieval tool
·Ability to work with Business Unit managers to retrieve, gather and convey vital information necessary to complete the job.
·Must have strong, demonstrated problem-solving skills and innate ability to work independently
