Responsibilities:
·Mortality and lapse experience studies including development and validation of data, setting of assumptions and complying with SOA/AAA and Corporate standards for experience studies.
·Extensive documentation and audit trails required.
·Validation of data through analysis, trending and other actuarial methods.
·Making approximations when required to mitigate data issues.
·Support for Data Management Unit for data validation, re-engineering of data extract process and other projects.
·Supervise support staff, if any.
Qualifications
·Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and BA/BS degree.
·Annuities product knowledge a plus.
·Strong communication skills both verbal and written including presentation skills.
·Strong actuarial, analytical, computer, organization and project management skills.
·A minimum of five years of actuarial experience within the insurance industry.
