| Position: Actuary-Senior Actuary, Annuity Modeling

Responsibilities:
· Lead the development of actuarial models and assist with the processes of calculating and documenting financial results for cash flow testing, embedded value analysis, and business planning
· Support the quarterly close process for the Annuity product line, including the development of DAC/VOBA and annuity reserves on a STAT, GAAP and DAP basis
· Assist with analysis of quarterly earnings
· Consult with Annuity product line leaders to improve understanding of account and product line experience and trends in experience; assist managers in utilizing this information in account management and pricing decision-making
· Assist with asset/liability management strategies and tactics; work with product and risk managers to ensure these are consistent with product line pricing and portfolio management strategies and tactics
· Assist with analysis, development and implementation of new actuarial initiatives, guideline interpretations and relevant actuarial processes for the Annuity product line
· Other duties as required for the position
Qualifications
· Associate of the Society of Actuaries
· 3+ years of experience with actuarial modeling
· 3+ years of experience with US statutory and US GAAP reporting for Life or Annuity products
· Familiarity with Tillinghast Actuarial Software (TAS) or similar packages
· Proven analytical and problem solving skills
· Strong communications and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain actuarial concepts to non-actuaries
· Management / project management experience demonstrating the ability to set plans and objectives, build effective teams and work relationships, and accomplish desired results
· Familiarity with MS Office
· Ability to work extended hours when needed
· Reinsurance experience desired
· Fellow of the Society of Actuaries desired
