Responsibilities:
·Actuarial Analyst will assist in conducting actuarial analysis for rate-making purposes on existing product, using the concepts of trends, development, credibility and present value as appropriate.
·Will assists in the preparation of actuarial statements for rate filings and responds to questions from states regarding rate filings. Assists underwriting and marketing departments in developing new products by providing analysis and filing support.
·Makes effective use of automation tools to improve the timeliness, accuracy and content of reports, or to support actuarial research.
·Conducts actuarial analysis for the determination of adequate loss reserve levels and provides management with recommendations.
Qualifications
·Education equivalent to four year college degree in mathematics, actuarial science, statistics or related fields or the equivalent in related work experience.
·Requirements: 2 to 4 years of related work experience in property/casualty insurance and familiarity with property/casualty rate making concepts.
·Data skills including how to query databases and manipulate data.
·Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and Access; VBS programming skills desirable.
·Candidate will be require active status in the status in the statistical-actuarial exam program, having passed 3 examinations of the Casualty Actuarial Society.
